HON SUNDAY PETER INTERACTS WITH NANS CHAPTERS, UNVEIL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR TERTIARY STUDENTS

 The chapters leadership of the National Association of Nunguraba Students (NANS), paid a courtesy visit to the Member Representing Guyuk Constituency, Hon Sunday Peter. 

The courtesy visit took place today in the committee room of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Yola. 

While unveiling the scholarship scheme for the tertiary institutions, Hon. Sunday Peter said that education sector is one of the aspects that he gave priority in his administration. He added that through Sunday Peter Education Support Initiative he has paid JAMB fee for 150 students across secondary schools in Guyuk LGA a few months ago in his effort to support education at the secondary school level.

He expatiate that the scholarship programme that he unveiled today is a continuation of his scholarship project of his first tenure and is expected to target three hundred beneficiaries across the various institutions in Nigeria. 

The Honorable Member charged the Lunguda students to come up with business initiatives that will earn them money when in school, adding that his scholarship scheme is only to support them but not to uplift them from the financial challenges in school.

The institutions with representatives in the meeting include ADSU Mubi, Fed Poly Mubi, Health Tech Michika, College of Nursing Yola, MAU Yola, Federal University Kashere, Gombe State University, Taraba State University, College of Education, Hong, College of Education Zing, Army University Biu, Adamawa State Polytechnic Yola, CABS Numan, College of Agriculture Jalingo, FCE Yola.

The National President of the National Association of Lunguda Students (NANS), Comrade Frama Timon thanked the Honorable Member for the initiative to boost education in the Lunguda land. He reiterated that NANS is for nobody and is for everybody and the union is willing to work with any meaningful leadership that has Lunguda land at heart.
