The two years stewardship of Honorable Gibeon Goroki as a Member representing Guyuk/Shelleng federal constituency can be summarily define as a democratic turn around in the political landscape of Guyuk/Shelleng Federal Constituency.
The congressman who was officially sworn-in two years ago today has not only being up and doing in the chamber to secure the share of national cake for his constituency and delivering dividends of democracy to the electorates, but he has also been a laudable mouth piece of his constituents in the floor of the house.
It is on record that when part of his constituency, Dumna ward of Guyuk local government was attacked and people displaced, he gallantly stood at the hallow chamber to tell Nigeria and Nigerians the predicament that befell his people. Aside escalating the issue to national consciousness, the law maker also lobby for relief materials which has gone a long way in cushioning the pains of the affected.
Despite several legislative challenges occasioned by Covid-19 in the first year, Hon. Gibeon Goroki never dozed in making his constituency proud. The following are some of his milestone achievements in his first year:
The legislator has flagged off construction of two roads in the constituency less than six months of his oath taking. The roads flagged off for construction includes, Guyuk-Shelleng road via mararaban Guyuk and Kitta by-pass road. In the present, the construction of Kitta by-pass road is 100% completed and people are now enjoying while Guyuk-Shelleng is still under construction.
In the health sector, the federal law maker has shared assorted drugs after every three months to all 20 wards of his constituency for free consumption not less than three times. He has also donate safe mother hood, maternity delivery kids to the maternity hospitals in the two 2 LGs for free use by pregnant women during delivery, looking at the hardship of child delivery of less privileged women.
In the education sector, the congressman was able to use the mandate of the electorates to reclaim the defrauded blocks of class rooms and office, one in Dukul Primary school, Lakumna and etc which were ordinary meant to be built since 2017 but eventually diverted.
SECOND YEAR:
In the second year of Hon. Gibeon Goroki in office, he also done a lot worthy of commendation. He has built modern day hospital in Bakta ward of Shelleng local government which people are happily enjoying.
The congressman has equally built one block of classroom in Kwapopolok, Shelleng LGA. A block of class room with an office was also built in pwalamoliye Primary school. Also depilated class room which has been forgotten for years has been renovated and brought back to use by the law maker in Dukul 1 primary school.
The law maker also provided modern day chairs and learning materials in not less than five primary schools in his constituency. The schools who benefitted includes, Chakawo, Burthi, Pwalamoliye, Wuroyanka and kiri.
Hon. Gibeon Goroki has also built a motorised water borehole in Arah-teh which is capable of providing portable water to the whole community that was depending on streams, ponds and hand pump water.
On the aspect of empowerment, the federal law maker has equally empowered constituents with sewing machines and grinding machines all in an effort to curtail idleness and poverty in his constituency
With this dossier carrying two years performance of Hon. Gibeon Goroki, he deserved to be rank high with expectation that before his tenure will elapse, his constituents will have no reason to regret giving him their mandate.
