The PDP flag bearer of Guyuk/Shelleng federal constituency, Hon. Gibeon Goroki vow to defeat the incumbent member represent the federal constituency even in his home town, Dalwa of Shelleng Local government area, which according to him his electoral victory come 2019 election will be termed as Pyrrhic victory if he fails to defeat the incumbent in his polling unit.
Speaking at today’s PDP stake holders meeting in Guyuk, the former chairman of the local government, Hon. Goroki promise to give special priority to the proposed Guyuk cement company which according to him will create more than 7 thousand job opportunities to the people of Guyuk and Shelleng and it will equally go a long way in eradicating poverty among youths of the area.
He stressed that people of Guyuk and Shelleng will never regret giving him their mandate, maintaining that his tenure will carry everybody along and dividends of democracy will be reap accordingly by all and sundry.
The PDP stake holders meeting was one of its kind owing to the calibre of politicians and apolitical Lunguda elders who graced the meeting to strategize how to correct the comedy of errors made in 2015 election that paved way for incompetent representatives and equally to chart possible routes to the party’s electoral success as count down to 2019 election begins.
Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Zinas who lost to Hon. Goroki in the party’s primaries said that they have no grudges against him expatiating further that they will collectively work together to ensure his electoral victory come 2019 election.
Accepting PDM Guyuk/Shelleng flag bearer at the meeting who did not only step down for Hon. Goroki but equally decamp from his party to PDP to work for his electoral success, he said that Hon. Goroki is the right man who entire Lunguda society should repose confidence in him as the only alternative for positive change as far as Guyuk/Shelleng contest is concern.
Addressing the crowd at the meeting, Baba Harold Mirchaulum
who is among the most relevant and respected elders of the Lunguda community did not only charge youths to cast their votes but equally to protect their votes to collation centre. He maintains that the sacrificial service of the biological father of Goroki to Lunguda land should never go unnoticed to the contemporary generation adding that his father was among the volunteers of mission clinic of Guyuk who were trekking to Numan to carry medications for the community.
