24 hours after Fulani herdsmen overrun and razed down 4 villages, leaving not less than 25 people death in Numan local government, Senator Bindow Jibrila, the incumbent governor of Adamawa state officially declared his intention in Yola to join the gubernatorial race of the state under the platform of APC.
Speaking with space reporters, Numan citizen who pleaded for anonymity said that the governor of the state by declaring his political intention 24 hours after an attack on the four Numan communities is literally dancing on the graves of their kinsmen killed by the Fulani herdsmen
According to him, the governor of the state has given much priority to his political career than the lives lost in the state according to him is the reason why even when the people of Numan are mourning for the death of their kinsmen killed by the Fulani herdsmen, he organize get-together to wine and dine with his political associates in the name of declaration of intention.
‘’Governor Bindow value his political career than the lives lost in Numan local government. He was not in the state when the incident happened and we expect him to pay a condolence visit to the affected areas as soon as he come back but to our surprise we learnt that from airport he moved straight to Ribadu square to declare his political intention which speak volumes that the lives of our people that were lost do not matter to him forgetting that Numan LGA contributed immensely in his electoral victory in 2015’’
He alleged that since when Fulani herdmen started attacking villages in Numan federation, the Governor has never for once leave government house officially to pay condolence visit to the affected areas apart from the one he went to Dong in the entourage of the vice president early of this year.
He added that Numan federation has lost confidence in his leadership style owing to how people are consistently eliminated in the area under his watch. He expatiated further that Numan federation is ready to give him zero vote come 2019 election as a pay back to his wickedness to the area.
