Another Political Tsunami Hits Oshiomhole's Home State As Hundreds of APC Members Dump Party For PDP

The gale of defections rocking the APC today anchored at Etsako central local government area in Edo State, the home state of the embattled National Chairman of the APC.

Expectedly, the leadership of People's Democratic Party (PDP) experienced another round of bountiful harvest as hundreds of All Progressives Congress (APC) members from ward seven (7) led by a former special adviser (SA) to Etsako central LGA, dumped the party.

Indeed, it wasn't a good time for the APC in Etsako central LGA, taking into cognizance the fact that the party continues to lose more of it's members to the opposition PDP, whose camp has consistently received unquantifiable boost in its numerical strength.

Addressing the defectors at the rally which took place at Oghomhere, headquarters of the ward, the PDP consensus candidate of the party in Edo north senatorial district, Engr. Abubakar Momoh who represented the state chairman of the party, Chief Dan Osi Orbih disclosed that the APC has failed the people of Nigeria especially in the aspect of the country's economy.

He said, if PDP is voted back to power come 2019, the dividends of democracy would be equitably and adequately given to the people.

Engr. Momoh, called on them to vote all PDP candidates in the 2019 general elections. "There is the urgent need for the PDP to rescue Nigeria from it's present political quagmire brought by the drowning APC", he asserted.

Also speaking, a former chairman of Etsako central local government, Hon. Emmanuel Momoh said APC has caused the people more harm than good, urging them to massively cast their votes for PDP to rescue Nigeria, stressing that a vote for the party is a vote for progress and development.

In his remark, the leader of the defectors and immediate past special adviser to Etsako central local government under the chairmanship of Hon. Momoh and Mr. Saliu Obemeata, hinted that the APC is a party full of deceitfulness - squandering their chances of delivering not only the promised but needed change hence the reason for their defection.

Meanwhile, Mr. Obemeata assured the people of PDP's preparedness to get it right this time, he however promised to work assiduously for the victory of the party in next year's elections.

Notable party chieftains at the crossover ceremony include, Engr. Momoh, Dr. Blessing Agbomhere, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, a former commissioner for commerce and industry and Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA) aspirant, Barr. Donald Osikhena Boih, amongst others.

In conclusion, you will recall that just two (2) months ago, over a hundred (100) members of the APC defected to the PDP in the same ward, also led by a former executive director and three (3) time councillor, Hon. Fidelis Agbaiza.
